Petrovietnam and Thanh Hóa Province Collaborate on Key Technology Projects Shaping the Future
On July 14th, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and the People's Committee of Thanh Hóa Province convened a working session to evaluate the implementation of their cooperation agreement, address challenges, and accelerate the research and development of key investment projects within the province.
The meeting brought together high-level leadership from both organizations. Representing Petrovietnam was Mr. Lê Mạnh Hùng - Chairman of the Member Council, along with leaders from member units. From Thanh Hóa Province, attendance included Mr. Trịnh Văn Quyền - Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders from various departments and agencies.
Evaluation of Collaborative Results
During the working session, both sides assessed their cooperation achievements. Petrovietnam and Thanh Hóa Province established a strategic cooperation agreement in 2022, aimed at promoting investment and development of key projects to contribute to the province's socio-economic development.
Mr. Lê Mạnh Hùng affirmed that Petrovietnam consistently prioritizes cooperation with Thanh Hóa Province, one of the localities with significant potential for energy and industrial development nationwide. The Group committed to continuing close coordination with the province to soon actualize the signed projects.

Future Cooperation Directions
At the meeting, both sides agreed to continue promoting cooperation in the following areas:
- Developing clean energy projects, including wind power, solar power, and green hydrogen
- Expanding the Nghi Son Industrial Park into a national key energy industry center
- Developing logistics infrastructure, seaport services, and supporting industries
- Investing in high-tech sectors, digital transformation, and circular economy
- Cooperation in training high-quality human resources
Mr. Trịnh Văn Quyền, Secretary of the Thanh Hóa Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated Petrovietnam's cooperation and committed to creating all favorable conditions for the Group to soon implement the projects. The province also requested Petrovietnam to complete procedures promptly to launch new projects, especially renewable energy projects.
Conclusion of the Working Session
Concluding the meeting, both sides agreed to establish specialized working groups to resolve specific obstacles for each project. Petrovietnam committed to regularly report on the implementation progress of projects to Thanh Hóa Province.
