TKV Accelerates Digital Transformation Towards Modern Governance

In the context of the ongoing strong Industry 4.0 revolution, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (TKV) is striving to intensify digital transformation efforts to enhance governance and production efficiency. Recently, Chairman of the Members' Council of TKV, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan - who also serves as Head of the TKV Digital Transformation Steering Committee - chaired an important online conference to review the results of digital transformation work in the first half of the year and determine the direction and tasks for the second half of 2026.

The conference was organized in an online format with two main connection points at Hanoi (TKV headquarters) and the Production Command Center located in Quang Ninh. The event brought together the leadership of member units, technology experts, and digital transformation implementation teams across the entire TKV system.



Chairman of the Members' Council of TKV, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan emphasized: "Digital transformation is no longer a choice but an essential requirement in the current context. TKV identifies this as a key task to enhance competitiveness, optimize production and business operations, and create a foundation for the sustainable development of the corporation."



Digital Transformation Results in the First Half of 2026

In the first half of 2026, TKV has achieved remarkable results on the digital transformation front:



  • Completed information technology infrastructure with data transmission speed increasing by 40% compared to the same period in 2025
  • Successfully implemented the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across 100% of member units
  • Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) in labor safety supervision, reducing workplace accidents by 30%
  • Established a centralized data lake enabling multi-dimensional data analysis
  • Trained and enhanced digital transformation capabilities for more than 5,000 managers and employees

However, Chairman of the Members' Council of TKV also pointed out existing issues that need to be addressed in the early part of the year, such as: slow implementation speed in some units, shortage of high-quality technology human resources, and challenges in integrating systems between member units.



Direction for the Second Half of 2026

To achieve the 2026 digital transformation goals, TKV has set key tasks for the second half of the year:



  • Focus on developing new technology applications such as blockchain in mineral supply chain management
  • Complete the cloud computing platform to enhance scalability and flexibility
  • Strengthen the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in monitoring mining and transportation activities
  • Build a data center meeting national standards
  • Develop Big Data analytics solutions to support decision-making
